MAPA participates in several charitable events each year. The American Cancer Society sponsors an annual leisurely walk, Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk each May. MAPA walkers have rasied over $66,000 in our first 5+ years. Thank you everyone! Look forward to seeing all on May 3rd, 2008 for this year's walk and party to follow at Long Wong's! See our Progress for 2008. The Milwaukee Area ParrotHead Association (MAPA) presented Matty Gras 2007, a weekend phlocking to benefit Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the American Cancer Society! It was held in August, 2007 at Matty's, 14460 West College Avenue in New Berlin, WI. 53151 MAPA raised over $3,800 for charities with our phenominal raffle prizes and silent auction items. Thanks to all who donated items, and to all who participated. Great beverages, food, music, and ParrotHead company was enjoyed by all.
